The 2026 Mt. Shasta 4th of July Walk/Run is in the books. Thank you to the runners and walkers who showed up, the volunteers who made the course run smoothly, and the local businesses whose support keeps this event free of barriers for our community. The 4th of July Walk/Run event fulfills a role as a primary fundraiser within the community for a variety of youth and community groups, community enhancement projects, and the organization who hosts the event, SORA. Your entry in the event makes everything possible.

Your participation gives back to our community
Mountain Runners reinvests all proceeds from the 4th of July Event into the community. We make significant contributions to community health & fitness projects and support numerous local youth sports activities, as well as continue our legacy of beautification & enhancement projects in downtown Mt. Shasta.

ON-COURSE FUN!
A diverse spectrum of talented performers provide entertainment along the walk route - a virtual parade in reverse. Church choirs, belly dancers, gymnasts, classical music, country bands, family singers, and more!
