Important Travel Information

Exit Closures for Race on Interstate 5 - Mt. Shasta City:

Both Central Mt. Shasta exits on Interstate 5 will be closed from 8:00am - 10:00am on July 4th for this event. We suggest avoiding these exits – even before 8:00am.

Our suggestions to enter Mt. Shasta City:

  • Northbound Interstate 5 – take the Mt. Shasta City offramp (#737)

  • Southbound Interstate 5 – take the Mt. Shasta City offramp (#740)

Both of these exits will take you into Mt. Shasta City avoiding the area of heaviest congestion expected on July 4th.
